CAUTIONS: DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it or if you are allergic to any ingredient in this product. Laboratory and/or medical tests, including calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, and alkaline phophatase levels may be performed to monitor your progress or to check for side effects. Keep all doctor and laboratory appointments while you are taking this medicine. FOLLOW THE DIETARY PLAN provided by your doctor. You will need to take care not to become dehydrated while you take this medicine. If you have normal kidney function, be sure to drink plenty of fluids. If you have kidney problems or are on dialysis, talk with your doctor about how much fluid you should drink each day. Discuss any questions with your doctor. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE of this medicine without checking with your doctor. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. This includes vitamin and mineral supplements containing vitamin D or calcium, antacids containing magnesium or calcium, mineral oil, or products containing phosphorous. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST FEED while taking this medicine.
