How long your albuterol inhaler lasts may vary, but they generally last around a year. Most albuterol inhalers, such as the ProAir Respiclick or Ventolin HFA, are safe to use for 12 to 13 months after opening. You can also use the inhaler 12 to 13 months after reaching the expiration date, whichever comes first.
