Low Purine Diet

A low purine diet limits the amount of purines you eat. When your body digests purines, a waste product called uric acid is made. Uric acid crystals can build up in your joints causing a painful kind of arthritis called gout. When you limit foods high in purines, you may be able to prevent painful attacks.
