- 4,000 USP units 3 times weekly for 6–9 months. After this, the dosage may be reduced to 2,000 USP units 3 times a week for an additional 3 months
Pregnyl injection can also be given to induce ovulation or pregnancy in women* with certain types of infertility. Doctors usually prescribe it to women who have also received treatment with gonadotropins, sometimes called menotropins. The usual dosage of Pregnyl injection for this is:
- 5,000 USP units to 10,000 USP units 1 day following the last dose of gonadotropins
