Jardiance may interact with chromium. Some people use this mineral to manage blood sugar levels.
Taking Jardiance and chromium supplements may increase your risk of low blood sugar levels.

Jardiance and food
Jardiance may interact with certain foods, including green tea.
Green tea can lower your blood sugar levels. Drinking green tea while taking Jardiance may increase your risk of low blood sugar levels.
Jardiance may also interact with a ketogenic diet. A ketogenic diet is high in fats and low in carbs. It works by changing the main source of energy in your body from carbs to fats. But following a ketogenic diet while taking Jardiance may increase your risk of ketoacidosis.

Jardiance and vaccines
Jardiance is not known to interact with any vaccines. But this doesn’t mean interactions with vaccines can’t happen or won’t be identified later.

Jardiance and lab tests
Jardiance may interact with a urine test used to check for glucose (sugar) in your urine. Taking Jardiance and having this test may lead to higher-than-usual glucose levels in your urine glucose test.
Jardiance may also interact with a blood test that determines how well your blood sugar levels are being managed. This test is called a 1,5-anhydroglucitol (1,5-AG) assay. Taking Jardiance and having this test may lead to inaccurate results.
Because of this, talk with your doctor or pharmacist before having any lab tests while taking Jardiance.
Jardiance and cannabis or CBD
Jardiance is not known to interact with cannabis (commonly called marijuana) or cannabis products such as cannabidiol (CBD). But this doesn’t mean interactions can’t happen or won’t be identified later.
As with any drug or supplement, tell your doctor before taking cannabis with Jardiance.

Can you take metformin, glipizide, and Jardiance together?
Typically, yes. Doctors may prescribe metformin (Fortamet, Glumetza), glipizide, and Jardiance together to help manage your blood sugar levels with type 2 diabetes.
However, all three of these medications lower your blood sugar levels. So taking them together may put you at increased risk for low blood sugar levels.

Can you take Lantus and Jardiance together?
Typically, yes. Doctors may prescribe Lantus (insulin glargine) and Jardiance together to manage your blood sugar levels.
However, taking Jardiance with insulin medications can increase your risk of low blood sugar. To lower this risk, your doctor may reduce your Lantus dosage.
