Zetonna is prescribed to alleviate the symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergies, including itchy or runny nose and sneezing.
The prescription drug Zetonna is only available as 6.1g canisters with a 37mcg dose. It's administered as one spray per nostril daily, and each canister should last one month.
Avoid people who are sick while taking this medication, especially if they're infected with the chicken pox or measles, as these can be serious infections for patients using Zetonna. You should not use this medication while pregnant or breastfeeding, as steroidal medications can affect growth in children. Tell your doctor if you are currently taking or have recently taken other corticosteroid medications. You may not be able to use this medication if you've recently had a nose injury or surgery, if you have an active infection (bacterial, viral, parasitic, or fungal), or if you have or have a history of unhealed nose sores, lung problems including asthma or tuberculous, herpes infection of the eye, glaucoma, or cataracts.
