This medication is used to treat high blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels to improve blood flow, prevent the absorption of too much salt, avoid fluid retention, and prevent blood vessels from narrowing.
Tribenzor is only available as tablets, but it is available in a wide array of dosages. Because it contains three separate medications, each dosage option may contain a different amount of each, for example, the maximum dose is 40/10/25mg, but the lowest dose is 20/5/12.5 mg. Your doctor will determine which dose is best for you based on your specific needs and may adjust your dose over time. No matter the dose amount, take only one tablet by mouth daily, with or without food.
Do not take this medication if you are allergic to sulfa drugs, if you are unable to urinate, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. You should not use this medication if you have diabetes or kidney disease and are taking a medication that includes aliskiren. You may not be able to take this medication if you have or have a history of electrolyte imbalance (e.g., hypercalcemia or low potassium), heart or liver disease, penicillin allergy, glaucoma, gout, or lupus.
