The Pulmicort Flexhaler is an inhalation powder administered through an inhaler. Doses may vary from 90mcg to 720mcg, but the average adult maintenance dose is 180mcg. The inhaler is used two times daily.
Please note: This is not a rescue medication and it will not stop an asthma attack that's already started. Do not use this medication if you have an allergy to milk proteins, and consult your doctor before use if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. You may not be able to take this medication if you smoke, if you have an active infection, if you're currently going through menopause, or if you have a history of malnourishment, osteoporosis, liver disease, tuberculosis, herpes infection of the eyes, glaucoma, or cataracts.
