CAUTIONS: DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it, or are allergic to any ingredient in this product or to other corticosteroids (eg, prednisone). DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or use this medicine for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, EMERGENCY CARE, OR SURGERY, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking this medicine. DO NOT GET THIS MEDICINE IN YOUR EYES. If you get this medicine in your eyes, rinse immediately with cool tap water. Do not use this medicine on the face, underarms, groin, or diaper areas. SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS MAY OCCUR if too much of this medicine is absorbed through the skin. This may be more likely to occur if you use this medicine over a large area of the body. It may also be more likely if you wrap or bandage the area after you apply this medicine. The risk is greater in children. Do NOT use more than the prescribed dose. Contact your doctor right away if you develop unusual weight gain (especially in the face), muscle weakness, increased thirst or urination, confusion, unusual drowsiness, severe or persistent headache, or vision changes. Discuss any questions or concerns with your doctor. DO NOT APPLY THIS MEDICINE OVER LARGE AREAS OF THE BODY without first checking with your doctor. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE FOR OTHER SKIN CONDITIONS at a later time. IF YOUR SYMPTOMS DO NOT IMPROVE within 2 weeks or if they become worse, check with your doctor. Contact your doctor if you have a cut or sore that does not heal. THIS MEDICINE MAY DAMAGE OR REDUCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF LATEX CONTAINING PRODUCTS (eg, condoms, diaphragms). Latex products that come into contact with this medicine should be discarded. This medicine is for external use only; do NOT use it in the vagina. This medicine contains a corticosteroid. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your pharmacist. This includes medicines containing hydrocortisone or any other corticosteroid. If the new medicine contains a corticosteroid or if you are uncertain, contact your doctor or pharmacist. CAUTION IS ADVISED WHEN USING THIS MEDICINE IN CHILDREN because they may be more sensitive to the effects. CORTICOSTEROIDS MAY AFFECT THE GROWTH RATE in children and adolescents in some instances. You child's growth rate may need to be checked regularly while using this medicine. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk after topical use. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
