CAUTIONS: DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it, to any ingredient in this product, or to mycophenolic acid. LABORATORY AND/OR MEDICAL TESTS, including complete blood cell counts and kidney function, may be performed while you take this medicine to monitor your condition or check for side effects. Keep all doctor and lab appointments. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE DIZZINESS. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. Using this medicine alone, along with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. THIS MEDICINE MAY INCREASE YOUR RISK OF DEVELOPING CERTAIN TYPES OF CANCER (eg, lymphoma, skin cancer). Avoid the sun, sunlamps, or tanning booths while you take this medicine. Use a sunscreen and wear protective clothing if you must be outside for more than a short time. Tell your doctor right away if you notice a change in the size or color of a mole or if you develop any new or unusual skin growths. THIS MEDICINE MAY REDUCE THE NUMBER OF CLOT-FORMING CELLS (platelets) in your blood. Avoid activities that may cause bruising or injury. THIS MEDICINE MAY LOWER THE ABILITY OF YOUR BODY TO FIGHT INFECTION and may increase the risk of severe or fatal infections. Avoid contact with people who have colds or other infections. DO NOT RECEIVE A LIVE VACCINE (eg, measles, mumps) while you are taking this medicine. Talk with your doctor before you receive any vaccine. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINES, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. CAUTION IS ADVISED WHEN USING THIS MEDICINE IN THE ELDERLY AND IN CHILDREN because they may be more sensitive to the effects of this medicine. FOR WOMEN: THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE BIRTH DEFECTS OR FETAL DEATH if you take it while you are pregnant. DO NOT BECOME PREGNANT while you are taking this medicine. IF YOU THINK YOU MAY BE PREGNANT, contact your doctor right away. IF YOU PLAN TO BECOME PREGNANT, talk with your doctor. Women who may become pregnant must have a pregnancy test immediately before starting this medicine, 8 to 10 days later, and during regular doctor visits. Talk with your doctor about the results of all of your pregnancy tests. Women who may become pregnant must use acceptable birth control methods while taking this medicine and for 6 weeks after they stop this medicine. HORMONAL BIRTH CONTROL (eg, birth control pills) may not work as well while you are taking this medicine. If you take hormonal birth control while you are taking this medicine, you must also use another form of birth control (eg, condoms). You must talk with your doctor about acceptable birth control methods to use while you are taking this medicine. IT IS NOT KNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS FOUND in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.
