Lisinopril is available in tablet form, in a range of dosages and quantities. Depending on which of the lisinopril uses are cited, your physician may prescribe a 2.5, 5, 10, 20, 30, or 40 mg dosage. The length and frequency of your prescription may qualify for prescription quantities of 30, 45, 60, 90, or 180 tablets. Subsequently, lisinopril cost will be affected as either or both numbers increase.

Pregnancy: Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are nursing. In addition, if you become pregnant while you are taking lisinopril, contact your physician immediately for instructions on what to do.

Interactions: Because this medication can interact with other drugs and supplements, provide your doctor with a complete list of all that you are taking, or have recently taken. This medication may negatively interact with lithium, ARBs, aliskiren. NSAIDs and other over-the-counter analgesics may increase blood pressure or heart problems if taken with lisinopril. Injections for stinging insects (bees, wasps, etc.) may cause serious reactions if administered while taking lisinopril.

Medical Conditions: Any conversation centered on “What is lisinopril” should also include a detailed medical history. When speaking with your doctor, be sure to let him or her know if you are allergic to the lisinopril drug, any of the inactive ingredients in the medication, or any drugs or medications you are taking. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any ACE inhibitors, have any allergies, are undergoing dialysis, you have, or have had, kidney, heart, or liver disease(s), or have any collagen vascular disease such as Lupus.
