Latuda may increase the risk of death, stroke, or mini-stroke in older adults with dementia; it is not recommended for the treatment of psychotic conditions related to dementia. This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts in young people. Latuda may have a negative effect on the mental health of those who take it. Do not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit while taking this drug. Latuda may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting; do not drive or operate heavy machinery until its effects are known. This medication must be taken with a meal of at least 350 calories. This drug may cause hyperglycemia. Latuda may make it difficult for the body to cool down if it overheats; this drug may lead to an increase in weight.
