irbesartan
(Avapro)

Irbesartan is used alone and in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. It is also used to treat patients with kidney disease resulting from type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Irbesartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist and works by blocking chemical receptors on vessels and muscles to dilate the blood vessels; this improves blood flow. A bottle of 30 75mg tablets of Irbesartan costs about $17, a bottle of 30 150mg Irbesartan tablets cost about $22 without insurance. You can save on Irbesartan costs by using the Optum Perks website. Use the Optum Perks mobile app or website to compare Irbesartan prices at local pharmacies and find coupons to use at checkout. Print your Irbesartan coupons to use in store, or present the mobile app to your pharmacist.
