Ilevro is prescribed to treat the swelling, eye pain, and redness associated with cataract surgery.
The prescription drug Ilevro is only available as a 0.3% ophthalmic solution. One drop is administered to the affected eye the day before and the day of surgery, as well as for the two weeks following surgery. If used with other ophthalmic medications, drops must be administered at least five minutes apart.
Do not take this medication if you are late in pregnancy or if you are allergic to other NSAIDs. You may not be able to use this medication if you are breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant, if this is a repeat surgery in a short period, if you are taking anticoagulants, or if you have or have a history of food or medical allergies especially to aspirin or phenylacetic acid, bleeding problems, diabetes, or rheumatoid arthritis.
