Dymista is prescribed to treat severe allergies and alleviate symptoms such as congestion, itching, runny nose, and sneezing.

Currently, the prescription drug Dymista is only available as a nasal spray and only in one strength (136 mcg/50 mcg). Normally it's administered as 1 spray to each nostril daily.

Do not give this medication to a child younger than 12 years of age or use while pregnant or breastfeeding, as the steroid component could affect growth. This medication can lower the blood cells needed to fight infection, so tell your doctor if you have certain infections or signs of infection (e.g., sores inside the nose); you should also avoid those who are sick and talk to your doctor immediately if you've been exposed to certain types of infection, including chicken pox or measles. You may not be able to take this medication if you have cataracts, diabetes, or glaucoma. Do not take this medication if you are already taking ritonavir.
