CAUTIONS: DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it, you are allergic to any ingredient in this product, or if you are allergic to other digitalis medicines. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR DOSE or stop taking this medicine without first checking with your doctor. LABORATORY AND/OR MEDICAL TESTS, including electrocardiogram (ECG), blood electrolyte levels, kidney function, and blood digoxin levels, may be performed to monitor your progress or to check for side effects. Keep all doctor and laboratory appointments while you are taking this medicine. THIS MEDICINE MAY AFFECT CERTAIN LAB TEST RESULTS, including an electrocardiogram (ECG) during exercise testing. Make sure laboratory personnel and your doctors know you use this medicine. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, emergency care, or surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking this medicine. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE DIZZINESS OR BLURRED VISION. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. Using this medicine alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. CERTAIN MEDICINES (eg, spironolactone, canrenone, potassium canrenoate) and certain herbal supplements (eg, ginseng) may interfere with some blood digoxin level tests and give incorrect readings. Be sure your doctor and lab personnel know all of the medicines you are taking. IF YOUR DOCTOR HAS INSTRUCTED YOU to check your blood pressure and heart rate regularly, be sure to do so. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. CAUTION IS ADVISED WHEN USING THIS MEDICINE IN THE ELDERLY because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medicine. CAUTION IS ADVISED WHEN USING THIS MEDICINE IN NEWBORN INFANTS (especially premature or immature infants) because they may be more sensitive to the effects of this medicine. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU BECOME PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
