DO NOT HAVE VAGINAL SEX during treatment to prevent reinfection. THIS MEDICINE CONTAINS A SUBSTANCE which may weaken the latex used in condoms or vaginal diaphragms. Do not use condoms or a diaphragm until at least 3 days after you finish using this medicine. They may not provide adequate birth control and you may become pregnant. IF SEVERE DIARRHEA, STOMACH PAIN OR CRAMPING, OR BLOODY STOOLS develop during treatment with or within several months after treatment with this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist right away. Do not treat it without first checking with your doctor. FOR WOMEN: IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
