Cholestyramine Light is used to lower cholesterol along with changes in diet and exercise. 

Cholestyramine Light is a powder that is added to food or drinks two to four times per day. Measure out the correct dose of powder by using the included measuring cup or following your doctor’s instruction. Stir the powder into water, milk, juice, or any other beverage and drink. You may also mix the powder in with applesauce, crushed pineapple, soup, or other pureed vegetables or fruits. Drink or consume the mixture slowly to avoid an upset stomach. For convenience, you may also premix the powder into a drink or food and store it in the refrigerator overnight. Drink plenty of liquid while on this medication to avoid constipation.
