Use your Optum Perks discount card at pharmacies nationwide, from the large chains to small independent pharmacies.
If you have a bacterial eye infection, your doctor may prescribe Besivance. This eye drop treatment kills the bacteria responsible for the infection. As a highly-effective ophthalmic antibiotic, Besivance comes with a high price tag, especially for cash-paying patients. Fortunately, Optum Perks can help you access Besivance savings in your area. Start by using our search tool to compare Besivance costs at local pharmacies (the cost estimates you see listed will factor in a discount from our coupon). Once you find a pharmacy you like, click the corresponding ‘Get Free Coupon’ button to print or download a Besivance drug coupon.
Besivance is used for the short-term treatment of bacterial eye infections. It will not work against viral or fungal infections.
Besivance is only available in a 5ml ophthalmic solution containing 0.6% besifloxacin. The recommended course of treatment is three doses per day for seven days. Follow your doctor’s dosing instructions carefully; overuse of this medication can cause it to become less effective.
Keep using Besivance for the full prescribed time, even if your eye infection appears to clear up before then. Stopping a course of antibiotics too soon can allow the infection to return and become more resistant to medications. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying Besivance, and leave them out for at least 15 minutes after each dose. You should not wear contact lenses at all if you still have active symptoms of an eye infection. Call your doctor right away if you experience any serious side effects, including fever, signs of a new infection, eye drainage or crusting, or severe eye redness, swelling, or irritation.
